Experience in Refuggee Camps- PNG

I am a refuggee, half of my life was brought up and living in the refuggeee camps. I was small boy when my parents was forced to flee West Papua. I don't know what was happening at the first place, but later I began to learn the actuality in the camps. Year after years I over heard people talking secrets and promissing other people that West Papua will Be free soon.

There were meetings after meetings conducted in public and in secrets. There were delegations after delegations visiting the refuggee at the camps. These delegations were often wellcome and farewell with big celebrations ( various trditional dances from West Papuan were performed, big fist were offered with plenty of food whole entire camps were decorated, every one were asked to dressed in their best atire ( Traditional or Modern). The youth, school children, womens groups, church groups and mens group were organised to do some sort of activity ( singing, Dancing, drama plays etc..)to entertain the deligations. The womens would take turn cooking for the guest day and night. A tight security would be provided day and night, fully armed with Bows and Arrows, Bush Knives, spears and even home guns surrounding the tradional Melanesian style houses. In some instance a traditional sourcerer man was brought to performe his spell to make sure the spirit world is clear.

The question that I often asked myself was this; WHY DO WEST PAPUAN REFUGGEE HAD TO THE EXTREME DOING THAT?
The answer is simple, THAT THESE SO-CALLED DELEGATION WILL TELL THE WORLD ABOUT THEIR ASPIRATION SO THAT THEIR ISSUE IS CAN BE TABLED IN THE UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY.

Untill to this day that you are reading this article, Non of these so-called Guest or delegations member is opeing their mouth. And yet while visiting they make big promises that they will make changes, or they will save West Papua. Every inspiring words they spoke in public the refugees would shared tears. Beleiving that this is the right man, this is the saviour.

Now that i am a man, nothing have changed, many of this people ( refuggee) have died in camps others have gone back home through the repartriation exercise. I still asked some of the leaders Can the aspiration of the West Pauan people still live or will it died the natural death?
